Itinerary of Same Day Agra Tour By Train from Delhi

Hotel Pick-up & Drop-off to Hazrat Nizamuddin

Our representative would provide you a morning pick-up from your New Delhi Hotel at 6:45 am and would drop you at the New Delhi Railway Station for your scheduled train (Gatimaan Express) to Agra city at 8:10 am. The breakfast and refreshments would be served on the train.

Arrival at Agra Cantt Railway Station

The train would reach Agra railway station at 9:50 in the morning. From here our representative would pick you up and proceed to the magnificent Taj Mahal.

Taj Mahal – A Captivating View

At 10:00 am, you would visit the monumental world heritage, the Taj Mahal. It is included in the list of World's Seven Wonders. The construction of this palatial monument initiated in 1631. It is a personification of ethereal beauty created by 22,000 workers and 1,000 elephants over 22 years.

This white-marble mausoleum was built by Mughal King Shah Jahan as a memorial for his wife, Arjumand Banu Begum, fondly named as Mumtaz Mahal. If folklores are to be believed, Emperor Shah Jahan was extremely devastated after the untimely demise of his beloved wife so he decided to build a monumentin her remembrance that would surpass the greatest extent of grandeur and beauty.

Agra Fort

After a refreshing view of the Taj Mahal, you would be guided to the famous Agra Fort at noon. It is an enormous museum of fascinating buildings, instituted by the Great Mughal Emperor Akbar. Every succeeding Mughal ruler up to Aurangzeb has contributed something to this red sandstone structure. Its construction began in the year 1565 and was accomplished in 1573.

It has two important gates widely known as the Amar Singh Gate and the Delhi Gate. After visiting Agra Fort, you would be escorted to a superb multi-cuisine restaurant for a delightful lunch at 13:30. Post lunch before proceeding to the next tourist spot, the remaining free time can be utilized in exploring local art like Inlay and other art & culture.

Baby Taj

At 14:30, you would advance to the resting place of Ghias Beg (Itimad-ud-Daulah), the father of the Empress Noor Jahan. It is regarded as the blueprint of the Taj Mahal, hence the name - Baby Taj.

Agra Railway Station

You would move to the Agra railway station to board your train to New Delhi at 17:00. 

New Delhi Railway Station

You would arrive at Hazrat Nizamuddin at 19:30 and would be dropped off to the hotel from there.
